In this case our client sadly ended up requiring a below knee amputation with reduced life expectancy of between one and two years.
He was a known sufferer of type 1 diabetes whose foot ulcer was treated with total contact in a cast. Our medical negligence team settled this case a few days before trial for damages of £165,000.
